The PhD Programs in Comparative Literature and in History of
Modern and Contemporary Theatre of the University of Naples “L’Orientale”
(Italy) are jointly organizing a Graduate Conference on “L’oralità sulla scena.
Adattamenti e transcodificazioni dal racconto orale al linguaggio del teatro”
(“Orality on stage. Adaptations and transcodifications from oral storytelling
to the language of theatre”). The focus of the conference will be on the
strategies of stage adaptation of oral tales.
Keynote speakers: Stefano De Matteis (University of Salerno); Massimo Fusillo (University of L’Aquila); Gerardo Guccini (University of Bologna); Gabriele Vacis (playwright and director).
Graduate Students and PhDs are invited to submit a 300-word abstract, a short CV, and complete contact information to the conference organizers: graduateconference.unior@gmail.com by 20 June 2013.
